BounceLens

Free email checker, no signup

Paste one address or a whole list and press Check. No account, no email to confirm, no credits that run out. The check runs in your browser, so your list is never uploaded.

Why there is no signup

Most email checkers want an account before they show a single result, and then give you 100 free credits. That makes sense for them: checking a mailbox means talking to the receiving mail server, and that costs money to run.

The checks on this page don't need that. They only need the address itself and a public DNS lookup for the domain. Your browser does both, so there is nothing to pay for and nothing to sign up for. You can check 10 addresses or 20,000.

What the results mean

  • invalid The address will bounce: broken format, a domain that doesn't exist, or a domain with no mail server. Remove it.
  • risky It might get through, but probably shouldn't be on your list: a typo of gmail.com, a throwaway address, or a domain that only has a website server.
  • unconfirmed The format and domain are fine. Nobody has checked that the mailbox itself exists.

What a free check can't tell you

A free check can't tell you whether [email protected] is a real person. Gmail exists and has mail servers, so the address looks fine. Only a mailbox check, which asks Gmail's server about that exact address, can catch it. That's why passing addresses are marked unconfirmed, not "verified". Any tool that says "verified" without a mailbox check is guessing.

For most lists, the free check already removes the addresses that hurt you most: dead domains bounce hard, and typos and throwaway addresses never reach a real reader. If you need the mailbox check too, the results page links to a paid service for just the unconfirmed addresses.

Is my list safe?

Yes. The addresses stay in your browser tab. Only the domain names (the part after the @) are looked up, through Cloudflare's public DNS. Close the tab and the list is gone. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Questions

Is there a daily limit?

No. One run checks up to 20,000 addresses, and you can run it again as often as you like. Bigger lists take longer because every new domain is looked up once.

Can I check a CSV from Mailchimp or another tool?

Yes. Upload the CSV and BounceLens picks out the email addresses from any column. Download the clean list or the full report when it's done.

Does it send an email to the address?

No. Nothing is sent to anyone. The check only looks at the address and the domain's DNS records.
